The semester as a whole has been bad, but this month I've had to switch to working 7 days a week (days and evenings) just to barely keep my head above water. And that's when the pull of family creeps in, because my functional absence means more strain on them. One more week of this and then things will get a little better.
Waaaaaaaay off in the distance there appears to be a quaint little village on a hill, the semester will end and you will go there and drink wine under a tree.
Arlenna, I was going to label them but I couldn't think of anyone sympathetic that might be upset. If I had to put a label on them I would probably say my grad students are the most upset with my lack of availability.
Dr. No, In my mind, I'm already there. maybe that's part of the problem.

You'll be there before you know it. In the mean time, is there a Spring Break village suitable enough for a quick pit stop?
I am a faculty member in a university science department, who started this gig in August 2008. I am a teacher, lab manager, accountant, writer, reviewer, husband, father and colleague, in various order depending on the moment.

Spring Break Village is a mere trading post in the desert, but it has a watering hole that looks appealing from here.
ReplyDeleteI am so feeling this.
